From the airport or Malaga:
Head in the direction of Torremolinos. Once on the highway, take the first
junction (keep driving on the right because there are no signs that mention
this junction). After passing a blue pedestrians bridge, turn right.
From here of you can follow the signs to Alhaurin de la Torre.
After passing this long village, Alhaurin el Grande will be indicated on the signs.
In Alhaurin el Grande you will pass two roundabouts (the second one has
a big cross in the middle). Follow the road until the end, then turn right,
there is no other possibility. In front of the church the road turns left,
follow this road. After a few hundred meters you'll see a bank "Unicaja"
on your right; about fifty meters further you have to turn right into
a very, very small street you hardly can see. On your left hand there
is a mirror to see if traffic is coming out of this small road, The road
is called Calle Ollerias. Follow this street down, on one point the road
seems to turn right but follow the road down on the left until the end,
turn left here and you will find Casa de Orange after 50 meters. The name is painted on the wall next to the gate so you can't miss it.
If you miss c. Olliveras you can not turn back because all the roads are
one way. You have to drive in the direction of Coin, there is a possibility
to enter our road from the other side (see the map of the village on this page)
From Coin:
If you come from Marbella or Ronda you approach our village from the direction
of Coin. Around Coin our village is indicated on the signs so you can
follow the signs to Alhaurin el Grande. Once you approach our village
pass the first roundabout straight ahead. After one kilometre you'll see
a San Miquel beer depot on your left. You have to turn left into the road
just in front of this depot. Now you are in our street: follow this narrow
street and you will find Casa the Orange (name painted on the wall next to the gate) almost at the end of this street
on your left.

Nice
to know
Alhaurin has a Morish background and the name means; garden of
Allah. Maybe because of his allways green hills despite the dry
climate. |
